NEW NYC City Proof Twistable Crayons & Expert Last Lip Color

Hi everyone! Ruby here with a review and swatches of the new lip colors from New York Color or NYC Cosmetics whichever you prefer to call it lol. Keep in mind I didn't purchase all of them, although I might go back for some more lipsticks hehe. Down below are detailed pictures and my overall opinion. The crayons were 2.99 at my local Rite Aid and the lipsticks were 1.99 a major steal! This is my first review/swatch blogpost so I'm a newbie with lip swatches sorry if some are a little blurry. This was fun to do and I look forward to doing more. Also I plan on being more active on our blog with current collections! Thank you for checking this out and hope you found it helpful! ^_^

NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color
I love these they are hydrating and feel great on my lips. The 2 lighter colors that I picked up were a little more on the sheer side, as you might be able to tell from the swatches. The approximate wear time on these was about 1 hour with eating. I don't think they were meant to last. They go on glossy and I did see that some of the darker colors left a slight stain on my lips. Like their name these lip crayons are twistable which is great because I hate sharpening and making a mess. There was a good amount of colors to choose from and they're all beautiful. If you are the type of person that doesn't like too much on their lips or are in a rush to get ready these are pretty great. Most are a nice daytime lippie! Onto the swatches!

 Brooklyn Brown Stone
This is a peachy nude color. It's sheer but can be buildable to get it a little more opaque.

Riverside Rose
This is another nude color but it is on the mauve-ish side. This one also goes on sheer but can be buildable.

Fulton St Fuschia
This is a light pink color. Kind of a deeper bubblegum pink.

Ballroom Bluch
This is a hot pink.

South Ferry Berry
This is an orange based red. Reminds me of a cherry red. Looks more opaque in person.

  Gramercy Park Plum
This color is a light plum it can be sheered out, so can all of these, and be buildable to a deeper plum. You can't tell from the swatch but it definitely is more on the plum side in person.

Pros
Hydrating
Good color selection
Glides on smoothly
Not sticky
Nice packaging
Twistable
No gloss needed
Affordable

Cons
Takes a lot of applications to get it more opaque
Doesn't last very long
Better paired with a lip liner to last longer
Leaves a slight stain on your lips but nothing a little makeup remover can't handle

These were very nice overall I wouldn't reach for these if I was going out at night and needed them to last but I like these for running errands and going to school. They are subtle.

NYC Expert Last Lip Color
I love the pigmentation of all 3 that I picked up! I will definitely be picking up more. Now that I mention that, when I do I will add them to this blogpost. :) Anyways the approximate wear time for these lipsticks were about 4 hours with eating. Eating didn't stand a chance against these it faded pretty quickly in the center of my lips but it did leave a stain behind so it's not that bad. With a lip pencil I think it would last a lot longer. They claim to last up to 6 hours. They glide on smoothly and don't feel drying on my lips. They have a slight scent to them I can't pinpoint it but maybe a vanilla scent? It's not bad I like the scent but if you are sensitive to smells you might not like these.

 Blue Rose
This is a fuschia lipstick with slight blue reflects. Looks a little more purple in the tube.

Traffic Jam
This is an orange based red. I applied this one with a lip brush it was getting a little messy to apply.

Coralista
This is a tangerine lipstick and it is a little more sheer than the other two. It has slight gold reflects.

 Pros
Good pigmentation
Glides on smoothly
Lasted 4 hours (w/eating)
Hydrating (didn't dry out my lips even when it faded away)
Nice packaging
Affordable
Not sticky
Good color selection

Cons
Traffic Jam was a little difficult to apply straight out of the tube
For longer wear time apply a lip pencil underneath

Not much else I didn't like I highly recommend these! Overall good pigmentation and good color selection. I would definitely repurchase these.
