During Winter, makeup enthusiast usually bust out their matte palettes and cool toned lipsticks. Now you might ask what is a cool toned lipstick? A cool toned lipstick is one that has blue undertones. These lipsticks look best on almost everyone and the blue undertones help make your teeth appear whiter! Which is always a plus. This first look has all that jazz and looks great on almost everyone!

This next look is super girly! The pastels make it perfect for Spring. The lavender shade of lipstick is perfect for someone who is just starting venture into purple hues. Its soft and not overwhelming and looks awesome on all skintones. Usually lighter colors like this tend to look ashy on medium to deeper skintones, but a little trick I like to do is pair a light lipstick with a darker lip pencil. Doing this trick helps tone down the lipstick and works better with my olive complexion.

This third look is my favorite! When I wear a bold lip I usually do a very subtle eye look with a pop of color on my bottom lash line. If we can go back to color theory for a minute purple and yellow are great complimentary colors. So when they are put next to each other they make each other stand out. This makeup looks best on medium to deeper skintone! It might be a bit overwhelming for someone with fair skin, but if you aren't intimated by this dark hue, go for it! At the end of the day makeup should be fun!

This last look is probably the most wearable. The color Rebel is warm and friendly on all skintones, a great starter lipstick for someone venturing into dark purple hues. Since Rebel is warm and on the raspberry side of the purple family, its easy to wear without it being overwhelming. When I wear a warm lip color I usually like to pair it with eyeshadows that also have orange and/or red undertones.
