Dark Emma Swan | Once Upon A Time Makeup

Hey everyone! Ruby here with another makeup look inspired by one of the characters from the show Once Upon A Time. This one is for Emma Swan as The Dark One, or as the first episode of Season 5 titled her, Dark Swan. We last saw Emma risking her happy ending so Regina can finally have hers. At this years Comic Con a clip was released of Emma being held prisoner in what appears to be the Enchanted Forest. I will try and find that clip and link it on this post (GIF down below). Anyways her new look is very different than her normal appearance. Her skin appears to have glimmer dust all over it and her wardrobe is dark and edgy. I for one cannot wait to see Jennifer Morrison playing this new side to Emma Swan and September can't come fast enough! I hope you all enjoyed the makeup look and I will see you all in the next one!

Coral Summer makeup

Hey everyone! Yvette here with a fresh and glowy makeup tutorial with a pop of lip color. I wanted to create a soft summery look but still add that touch of glam with big lashes and bright lips. I just bought the LA Girl matte flat finish pigmented gloss for $3.50 a piece at PHAMExpo and Im in love!! These liquid lipsticks are super inexpensive, pigmented and long lasting. My only concern with them is that they too take a minute to dry and they have this tacky feel to them as they are drying. I'm not sure if its because I'm putting on too much lip balm prior to it or if its just the lipsticks. I need to play with them a bit for to give them a good review. Stay tuned for the blog post, but for now I hope you all enjoy this makeup tutorial!

Hair Care: What is the Best Heat Setting for Your Hair??

Hey everyone! Yvette here with a chatty video all about temperature settings for your hair. If you don't know what is the right heat temperature for your hair this video talks all about it! I talk about what is the right setting for fine, dyed, damaged, coarse, thick, thin and fine hair. Hope you all like it! Enjoy!

LOW HEAT 275°F | 121.1°C
 fine/ thin
 damaged
 dyed*

 Fine/ thin hair:
•Doesn’t hold styles well
•Can become weighed down with heavy products, causing the hair to look stringy
•Can look thin
•Can break easily because it’s fragile

MEDIUM HEAT 275°F - 350°F | 135°C - 176.6°C
 normal hair

 Normal hair:
• Holds styles fairly well
• Usually looks thick and covers the scalp well
• Is not as prone to breakage as fine hair

HIGH HEAT 350°F & above | 176.6°C & above
 thick
 coarse

Thick / coarse hair:
• Appears full
• Holds styles well
• Can tolerate high heat
• Can be resistant to hair coloring and chemical relaxers

melt Dark Matter Stack + NoOd Collection makeup tutorial

Hey everyone! Yvette here with a vampy smoky eye + two lip combos featuring melt cosmetics. Ruby and I went to PHAMExpo last weekend and picked up some goodies from Lora Arrellano and Dana Bomar's makeup line. This was melt's first time selling outside their website and all the girls were super sweet and helpful. We even got the chance to meet Lora and Dana, who are absolutely breathtaking! So when filming this tutorial I was super excited because I like to purchase products from companies that dope like melt. These lipsticks run for $18 and the stacks are $48 at their online only store meltcosmetics.com. The pigment on these babies are super creamy and blendable which is always a plus. Stay tuned for swatches! Hope you all enjoy this look.

Saucebox Cosmetics Batalash Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone Ruby here with an exciting review on the Saucebox Batalash palette! We pre-ordered this palette and when it finally arrived we were so excited that it was the exact same quality of the other Saucebox palettes. They are so buttery in texture and incredibly pigmented. The pan sizes are HUGE which is why I think they are so worth every penny. This palette is limited edition so get it while you can here. This palette costs $60 and you get 4 grams in each eyeshadow pan. While a MAC shadow costs $10 and has 1.3 grams in each pan. You do the math (hint Saucebox is giving you one heck of a deal!) The swatches down below are without a primer underneath. WITH a primer, forget about it, they are even more gorgeous! Saucebox and the Batalash girls did a beautiful job with this palette and I'm hoping for more collabs with amazing artists in the future! I hope you all enjoy the review! I'll talk to you all in the next one!

Top Row: Vanilla, Winter Brown, Cinnamon & Lace Noir
Bottom Row: Enigma, Electro, Popper & Nova

L to R: Vanilla, Winter Brown, Cinnamon & Lace Noir
L to R: Enigma, Electro, Popper & Nova

Overall:

Intensely pigmented and they feel so dang smooth
They blend beautifully
The 3 metallic ones on the bottom row are to die for
Popper is a matte shadow with tiny flecks of glitter. Maybe more of a sheen. Idk it's gorgeous!
While swatching Lace Noir got a little patchy but when I applied it on my eyes it went on without any problems. It's not as intense as the Saucebox Black Widow but it still is very nice black.
The pans can be taken out of the palette and are labeled on the bottom
Vanilla is too light to put under my brow but I've been using it to highlight my tear duct
Winter Brown has a green undertone
The palette closes magnetically
Because they're soft they can nick easily

Score: 10/10
There isn't one thing I
dislike about this palette.

*This palette was purchased with my own money
